DAY 2
Morning:
2-hour guided tour in Italian: "In the Footsteps of the Venice Carnival and Its History"
At the end of the guided tour, we will make our way to Piazza San Marco, where the traditional and captivating Flight of the Angel takes place—the thrilling official opening of the Venice Carnival. An acrobat, often a woman, “flies” suspended from a cable from the Campanile of San Marco down to Piazza San Marco, greeting the crowd and officially starting the celebrations with a unique and spectacular show. We will try to get as close as possible to see it at its best, but we must keep in mind the large crowds that gather that day. In any case, it is worth staying in the area, as parades and itinerant performances continue throughout the day.
