Breakfast at the hotel. A panoramic walking tour of Bogotá's historic center, through its streets characterized by colonial and republican-style facades. Admission to the Banco de la República Art Museum, where you will visit the Botero Museum to see one of the most renowned exhibitions of the Colombian master's art. The tour continues through Plaza de Bolívar, where you can admire the San Carlos Palace, the Casa de Nariño, the residence of the President of the Republic, the Primada Cathedral, the National Capitol, and the Liévano Palace. We will conclude the tour with a visit to the Gold Museum to explore its halls, which exhibit pieces of pre Columbian goldsmithing, one of the most important in the country. Return to the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel. Departing from the north of the city, you'll travel through a section of the Bogotá Savannah, where its rural and urban landscapes display images only possible in the tropics. Upon arriving in the municipality of Zipaquirá, you'll visit the Salt Cathedral, a Catholic religious temple housed in the tunnels no longer exploited in the salt mine. After the visit to the cathedral, you'll take a short panoramic tour to learn about the Colonial and Republican architecture preserved in the town of Zipaquirá. Duration: Approximately 6 hours. Departure from the hotel to begin the panoramic tour of the city's main neighborhoods, such as Bocagrande, Castillo Grande, and Manga, until reaching and entering San Felipe Castle, where we will visit one of the most important military engineering constructions from the colonial era. The tour concludes with a short walk through the walled area, where you can admire its beautiful squares, narrow streets, and houses with balconies beautifully decorated with flowers. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay. Duration: Approximately 4 hours. Just over 20 years ago, Medellín was considered one of the most dangerous cities in the world. Until the early 2000s, the fight for control after Escobar’s fall continued. However, since 2002, Medellín has undergone a dramatic transformation. Smart local politicians made successful investments in infrastructure and public education.

Today, the “City of Eternal Spring” is recognized as one of the most innovative cities in the world. Join us on a tour through the history and present of Medellín. Learn about the transformation of this fascinating metropolis and how an innovative public transport system connects economically disadvantaged neighborhoods.

We will visit downtown Medellín and one of the newest symbols of transformation: the electric escalators of Comuna 13. Hear what the people of Medellín think about the city’s past and present.

Return to the hotel. Free afternoon. Accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure via highway to Marinilla, a charming colonial town known for its handcrafted musical instruments. On the way to the reservoir area, enjoy the scenic landscape of green meadows and mountains.

Arrival at the municipality of El Peñol, one of Colombia's main energy producers, with a reservoir built over the old town, which was flooded as part of this remarkable engineering project.

Next, visit the El Peñol Rock, a massive monolith 220 meters high with 724 steps. Free time to climb (activity not included). Afterwards, enjoy a traditional lunch (main course and drink included).

Continue to the picturesque town of Guatapé, famous for its colorful houses and zócalos (baseboards) that depict local culture. Free time to explore and take photos. Return to Medellín.

Duration: Approx. 10 hours

Departure time: 08:00 a.m.
