The Wonder of Oman program invites travelers to explore the rich cultural and natural treasures of Oman, starting with an arrival in Muscat, where you'll be welcomed with Omani hospitality. The adventure then takes you on a scenic tour to Nakhal, home to the historic Nakhal Fort, the coastal town of Barka, and the majestic Al Hazm Castle, offering a glimpse into Oman’s fascinating history. The journey continues with a comprehensive city tour of Muscat, where you’ll visit the iconic Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the Al Alam Palace, and the historic Jalali and Mirani forts. You’ll also explore the Bait Al Zubair Museum, the vibrant Muttrah Souq, and the picturesque Corniche. From Muscat, venture into the vast Wahiba Sands, where you’ll experience the desert’s beauty, followed by a visit to the lush oasis of Wadi Bani Khalid. In Ras Al Jinz, witness the rare spectacle of green turtles nesting on the beach, and then explore the coastal city of Sur, known for its traditional dhow-building heritage. Hike through the stunning Wadi Shab, visit the fishing village of Quriyat, and take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Bimmah Sinkhole, before returning to Muscat for departure. This immersive program blends Oman’s rich history, diverse landscapes, and warm hospitality in an unforgettable journey.

Departure to visit the castles of Barka, Nakhal, and Al Hazm. Barka is an area known for its agricultural beauty, fishing, and traditional pastimes. Nakhal Fort is known for its towers, ancient weapons, and battlements, and Al Hazm for its secret tunnels… and where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Batinah from the top of this castle. Return to your hotel in Muscat.

TUESDAY | GRAND MOSQUE (PANORAMIC TOUR) - AL ALAM PALACE – JALALI AND MIRANI – BAIT AL ZUBAIR MUSEUM – MUTRAH

We will begin the day with a panoramic tour of the Grand Mosque, the most important mosque in the Sultanate of Oman. It was built in the finest Arab-Islamic style between 1995 and 2001 in the city of Muscat and can accommodate a total of 20,000 worshippers. We will then visit Al-Alam Palace, the Sultan's residence, where we will take a photo stop of the exterior. We will continue by bus with a panoramic stop of the Portuguese fortresses: Jalali and Mirani, with the coastline in the background. The tour continues to the old part of the city. We will visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum, which houses several collections of objects representative of Omani culture. We'll end in the traditional Mutrah neighborhood, where we can stroll through the souk, which maintains its oriental atmosphere.

WEDNESDAY | MUSCAT – AMOUAGE FACTORY – JABREEN – BAHLA - AL HAMRA – MISFAT – NIZWA

Breakfast. Departure for the Omani perfume factory of Amouage, following the tradition of Arabic perfumes, whose perfumes use 120 natural ingredients. Then, departure for Jabreen to visit Oman's finest castle, built in the late 17th century. This castle has extremely well-planned layouts, with space for the wali, the ladies' restroom, the kitchen, the majlis, etc. Most of the ceilings are decorated with beautiful paintings featuring Islamic motifs. We will stop in Bahla to take a photo of the fort, a World Heritage Site. Later, we will visit Hamra, a 400-year-old city in the Ad Dakhiliyah region of northeastern Oman. We continue to the small village of Misfah, a marvel built in the heart of a mountain where you can stroll through its narrow streets and learn about traditional irrigation systems (Falaj). Finally, we head to Nizwa, which was the ancient capital of Oman in the 6th and 7th centuries. Today, it remains one of the most popular tourist attractions with its historic buildings and imposing fortress. Transfer to your hotel in Nizwa.

Breakfast. We'll visit Nizwa and the fort with its enormous round tower, built in the 17th century to defend the route inland. Time to stroll through the souk. We'll then stop along the way to visit Birkat Al Mouz and enjoy the spectacular scenery filled with banana trees and beautiful farms. We'll continue to Wahiba Sands, where we'll take a 4X4 excursion for sunset.

FRIDAY | WAHIBA - WADI BANI KHALID - RAS AL JINZ

Breakfast. Departure by 4x4 vehicle. Then continue to Wadi Bani Khalid, considered the largest, most famous, and most beautiful oasis in Oman. We will have the opportunity to enjoy the natural pools of emerald water surrounded by palm trees, all set in a desert landscape with rocks and steep cliffs. Then, we will depart to Ras Al Jinz, a turtle sanctuary where turtles come at night to lay their eggs in the sand (with an expert local guide in English).

SATURDAY | RAS AL JINZ – SUR - WADI SHAB – QURIYAT - BIMAH SINKHLOE – MUSCAT

Breakfast. Departure for Sur, along the coast, a landscape surrounded by hills. We will visit the shipyard where the famous wooden dhows (traditional sailing boats of Arab origin) are still built, and the white Ayga houses. We will continue along the coastal road to Wadi Shab, where the waters of the wadi (river) form a series of beautiful natural pools and waterfalls of different shades of green and blue, protected by towering mountains. Access to the gorge is by boat, and then a 40-minute ride takes us inside. Picnic lunch. We will stop at Bimah Sinkhole, a 100-meterdiameter sinkhole that resembles an underwater crater (swimming is possible). Finally, visit Quriyat, a typical fishing village where you can explore the salt flats and the Sahel village. Return to Muscat.
