Day 4:

Ras Al Hadd / Sur / Ras Al Hadd
Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning at leisure to relax by the sea and enjoy the beach.
Return to Sur, a historic port city facing the ocean and a winding lagoon. Once a key hub for trade with East Africa, Sur still retains its maritime soul.
Visit the old district of Aija, a picturesque fishing village seemingly untouched by time.
Afterwards, visit a traditional shipyard where dhows are still built today — the typical Arab sailing vessels that made Oman famous in trade between China and Africa.
Lunch in Sur during the visits, at Al Awash Restaurant.
Short dhow cruise in the lagoon and along the coast to spot sea turtles.
Return to the hotel.
After dinner, departure for Ras al-Jinz (about 10 km), the easternmost point of the Arabian Peninsula and an important nesting site for endangered green sea turtles.
Watching the turtles lay their eggs on the beach, surrounded by sandstone cliffs, is a moving and unique experience. (Turtle sightings are not guaranteed and depend on nature; the best season is from April to November).

Day 5: Al Wasil

Ras Al Hadd / Ashkara / Ja’alan / White Desert & Wahiba Desert (by 4x4)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure south along the coast with a scenic stop at the Al Khabbah cliffs and a visit to the fishing village of Al Ashkara.
Continue through Ja’lan Beni Bu Ali, home to a magnificent 11th-century mosque topped with no less than 52 domes.
Vehicle change and departure aboard 4x4 jeeps toward the Wahiba Desert — a vast expanse of undulating dunes that shift in color throughout the day, from ochre to reddish orange, creating a constantly changing landscape.
Entrance to the desert is through the area known as the “White Desert,” named for its pale, almost white sand dunes, some rising as high as 100 meters.
This region is dotted with Prosopis Cineraria trees (locally known as “Ghaf”), a symbol of desert resilience thanks to their incredible drought resistance.
The landscape is extraordinarily beautiful, offering countless photo opportunities — a paradise for nature and adventure lovers.
Stop to experience the hospitality of the Wahiba Bedouin tribe, who have inhabited these lands for millennia.
Their welcome is expressed through a serving of aromatic bitter coffee (kahwa) and dates.
Check-in at the desert camp and depart for a 4x4 dune ride to admire the ever-changing magic of the sunset.
Overnight: Sama al Wasil Desert Lodge 3*

Day 6: Nizwa

Wahiba Desert / Wadi Beni Khaled / Al Mudayrib / Nizwa
Breakfast in the peaceful atmosphere of the desert camp.
Departure by 4x4 vehicle to the paved road, where your coach will be waiting.
Continue to Wadi Beni Khaled, one of the most spectacular in the country, known for its permanent water flow.
Large emerald-green natural pools, bordered by tall palm trees and rocky canyons, create a true desert paradise. Swimming is possible.
Lunch at a rest house in the heart of the wadi.
Departure for Al Mudayrib, surrounded by lush vegetation. Here, you’ll witness the ancient "falaj" irrigation system, in use for over 2,500 years.
The mud-brick architecture is well preserved and characteristic of historic neighborhoods that are still little known. (In Ibra, on Wednesdays, a unique market in Oman is held, exclusively for women.)
Continue to Nizwa, the former capital of the Sultanate — a religious, intellectual, and poetic center nestled among the mountains.
It flourished under the Ya’ruba dynasty (1624–1744) and is renowned for its majestic fortified citadel with a massive circular tower, offering a breathtaking view over the old town and surrounding palm groves.
Stroll through the historic center.
Check-in and dinner at the hotel.
Overnight: Diyar Hotel 3*

Day 7:

Nizwa / Jabrin / Bahla / Al Hamra / Djebel Esh-Shams / Nizwa (by 4x4)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure for Jabrin to visit its beautifully restored castle, one of the most stunning in Oman, built in the late 17th century. Once a princely residence and fortress, it impresses with its painted ceilings, arabesques, floral and geometric motifs, calligraphy, wooden mashrabiyas, carved doors, and intricate architecture — a true "city within a city."
Continue to Bahla, an ancient medieval city of the Sultanate. Photo stop in front of its massive fortress (UNESCO World Heritage Site), and stroll through the traditional souk, particularly lively on Thursdays.
Head to Al Hamra, known as “the red” due to its old adobe houses — one of the best-preserved historical towns in Oman. Visit Bait Al Safah, a living museum housed in a historic residence where men and women demonstrate traditional Omani crafts, including local cuisine.
Lunch during the visits.
In the afternoon, ascend to Djebel Esh-Shams, the “Mountain of the Sun,” reaching over 3,000 meters to view the spectacular Grand Canyon of Oman.
Pass through Wadi Ghul, the second-deepest canyon in the country, to reach the village of Nakhar, known for traditional textile craftsmanship.
Final stop at Misfah, a mountain gem perched at 1,000 meters, with narrow alleys, adobe houses, and a falaj irrigation system that nourishes the village’s gardens and palm trees.
Return to Nizwa. Dinner at the hotel.
Overnight: Diyar Hotel 3*

Day 8: Jabal Akhḍar

Nizwa / Birkat Al Mawz / Jebel Akhdar (by 4x4)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Early in the morning, visit the famous Nizwa livestock market, held every Friday (can be rescheduled to Day 7 or 9 depending on tour logistics).
A day dedicated to exploring Jebel Akhdar, the “Green Mountain,” part of the Al Hajar mountain range stretching across Oman from northwest to southeast. Between the Sayq plateau and the summit, at altitudes ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 meters, unfolds one of Oman’s most iconic landscapes: terraced fields, fruit orchards, rose gardens, and picturesque villages — a true green oasis in the heart of the Arabian Peninsula.
The day begins with a stop at Birkat Al Mawz, known for its terraced agriculture, flower plantations, palm groves, and an ancient falaj irrigation system. Short visit of the impressive 17th-century fort.
Continue along the winding road up Jebel Akhdar to reach "Diana’s Point", a scenic viewpoint named after Princess Diana who visited in 1986.
Passing through Wadi Bani Habib, there will be the option of a short walk in one of Oman’s most beautiful and water-rich valleys, scattered with natural pools, giant rocks, and cliff-perched villages.
Enjoy an easy walk from Al Ain–Al Sharqia village, among fruit trees and rose plantations, meeting friendly locals along the way.
Lunch along the route.
Check-in and dinner at the hotel in Jebel Akhdar.
Overnight: Sama Jebel Akhdar Hotel 4*

Descent through the magnificent Wadi Beni ‘Awf, one of Oman’s most scenic landscapes.
Lunch along the route.
Continue towards Muscat with a photo stop at Nakhl Fort (exterior visit) and visit to Beit al Ghasham, a splendid 18th-century residence.
Before reaching the city, stop at the renowned Amouage perfumery, founded in 1983 by the Sultan to revive Omani perfumery traditions. With the help of a French "nose," a unique oriental fragrance was created using over 120 natural ingredients.
Arrival in Muscat and sunset cruise to admire the city and Mutrah district from the sea.
